Club 12591 - District 2160 - Charter number 0

Our Rotary Club Namur-Citadelle was founded in 1977, is part of Zone 8 of District 2160 and counts about 50 men and women. We adhere to the objectives of Rotary and its motto: "Service Above Self". We have created lasting friendships among members and share our skills, energy, and leadership in humanitarian projects to improve living conditions in local, national, and global communities.

To raise funds for the associations we help, we organize an annual concert or show, often in collaboration with another club in Namur, as well as a quality champagne sale. Also, some members over 70 years old - the Papys-cyclistes - have taken the initiative to cycle a 2000 to 3000 km route every 2 years to raise funds.

We have supported, among others, l'Arche, Vie d'enfant, Accueil Mosan, Foyer Saint François, Un Nouveau Chapitre, Vacances pour Tous and Belgian Rotarian NGOs such as Hôpital sans frontières, ANAH or Vacci Plus.

Our international student exchange program has enabled the Club to welcome more than a hundred young people and as many Namurians to spend a year abroad.

Finally, through The Rotary Foundation, the club contributes to vast projects: eradication of polio, creation of wells, training of specialists in conflict resolution, scholarships, etc.

These goals are achieved through the friendship and complicity between members, through moments of friendship and family activities, but also around unifying projects.
